Each volume is one of 550 numbered copies printed on Pannekoek mould-made paper. Errata slip tipped into volume 1 and tissue guards present. Foot of spines and board tips mildly worn, still nice very good copies in minimally worn and dusty DWs, in archival mylar.

Book has previous owner's name on fly leaf in blue ink which has bled onto inside flap of dust jacket, other owner's names on paste down and foredge. Dust backet is taped along the edges and spine, has significant soiling, red ink stain on back and some coffee or water stains on back. Front hing is slightly cracked but holding strong.

A limited edition of 500 copies, this being No. 248 of a notable gardening work originally published in 1614. Oblong folio. With facsimile copperplate illustrations comprising 3 views of 17th Century gardens in their season and 58 of individual flowers. text and plates are fine and clean, free of foxing, and the binding is very good plus, some rubbing to the joints else tight and all edges uncut a very nice copy.
