A printed, 16 1/2 in. x 13 3/8 in. sheet of thick paper, with printing in several type faces & sizes, and a decorative, printed upper border, enclosing the printers name: "Blanks, of all kinds, printed and sold by J. D. Bemis, Canadaigua." This blank indenture has never been filled in. The sheet shows a central, vertical fold and three horizontal folds, there are two small holes along the vertical fold, one in the center and another at the lower horizontal fold, a few other small holes or cracks to the paper are present, the paper shows some very light blue-green stains in one section. This 19th century printed indenture has been kept folded up. Scarce item printed by J. D. Bemis of Canadaigua, New York, ca. 1820-1840 period. Sold as an example of printing.

An interesting piece of American nineteenth-century printing, with only the printer's details giving a clue to the occasion of the dinner. Within a decorative border, and with Maleville's slug in bottom left-hand corner. A sumptuous 'service à la russe', with potages, hors d'oeuvre, poisson, relevé, entrées roti, entremets and dessert.
