Ends with consideration of Soviet-era di…ssidents - Pasternak, Solzhenitsyn, Sinyavsky. Trade paperback, wraps curled at corners and along fore-edge, shelf wear and small (1/4") split at back of spine at crown, dust soil to top edge, minor soil or scratches to fore-edge and back cover, a bit of foxing to end papers. Marginalia by former owner Prof. Warner Berthoff on approximately 15 pages in the Pasternak chapter, other pages unmarked.
