Boards are much the same as the first in terms of decoration and wear. Volume 2 is split at the gutter on the page after the title page. This volumes contains 13 remarkable color illustrations, each on thick boards. The illustrations are in color, and each contains many, unfolding, layers of detail for the pictured motors and machines. The first is a locomotive, and it has 6 separate, unfolding parts. The next is a Turbine, with at least 7 small, tabbed, unfolding parts. There is also a motorcycle, a car, a Wright airplane and a Voisin airplane, a magneto, telegraph and more. One of them, the Gazogenes, has come unglued from the page, so I cannot tell if all the little pieces are here, but I don't see anything missing. These are remarkable, intricate, and attractive constructs. Some mild foxing. On each facing page, numbered, are the names of the various parts and pieces of the machines. Text in French.
