Soft cover. Condition: Good. 1st Edition. Vintage vocal piano sheet music edition featuring Dinah Shore on the cover. Standard folio format with photographic blue-tone cover design and complete musical notation and lyrics. Rear cover advertises 'America's Favorite Songs' catalog titles including Chlo-E, Great Day, and Ballad for Americans. This wartime-era popular song exemplifies the polished romantic ballad style associated with Dinah Shore's mid-1940s radio popularity. The atmospheric monochrome cover portrait and soft-focus embrace imagery are strongly characteristic of commercial music graphics produced during the final years of World War II. Interior pages remain complete and legible with no missing music; period advertising pages provide additional interest for collectors of Tin Pan Alley and American popular song ephemera. Condition: Good. Moderate edge wear and rubbing to covers; scattered creasing and handling wear throughout. Noticeable moisture staining/waviness visible to front cover and upper margins, with additional discoloration to rear cover. Small chips and edge nicks at extremities; spine fold intact and securely attached. Interior music pages remain clean and fully usable despite age toning. No ownership markings observed. Copyright page confirms 1945 Miller Music Corporation issue. Freddie Slack (1910-1965) was a prominent boogie-woogie and swing pianist best known for hits such as Cow Cow Boogie, while Dinah Shore became one of the defining vocalists of American radio and popular music during the 1940s. Their collaboration reflects the crossover between swing-era jazz performers and mainstream popular sheet music publishing during the wartime entertainment boom.
