This is a very scarce surviving copy of this magazine, the contents are generic and were probably used by many local printers around the country at the time, who added their own printed covers, with no local content within, this one was issued by George Orme, Printer, Bookseller & Statio…ner, of Market Avenue, Ashton-Under-Lyne, with interesting advert for his shop on the front cover, the rear cover is interesting as it has the local Railway Time Tables for July 1857, also the Ashton Post Office, 10 inches tall, printed on cheap thin paper stock, 14 pages with illustrations, covers noticeably marked and creased with some edge tears, rear cover undersized as issued, internally heavy creasing as can been seen in pictures, else in acceptable condition, This is a lighter item, shipping costs will be reduced accordingly at checkout where possible.
