Amalfi ist Sitz eines Erzbischof und besitzt eine normannisch-romanische Kathedrale. Der Sage nach ist Amalfi von römischen Familien gegründet, die auf der Reise nach Konstantinopel Schiff…bruch erlitten hatten. Amalfi verblieb lange in Besitz der oströmischen (byzantinischen) Kaiser. 1127 kam die Stadt in das Herrschaftsgebiet des Königs von Sizilien und sank allmählich in seiner Bedeutung im Mittelmeerraum. Die Blütezeit von Amlafi war im 10. und 11. Jahrhundert. Berühmt und im ganzen Mittelmeerraum vorbildhaft war das Seerecht von Amalfi (Tabula Amalphitana). Amalfi war den Juristen bekannt, weil der berühmte Codex Florentinus bis zu seiner Aufbewahrung in Pisa, dann Florenz in Amalfi aufbewahrt gewesen sein soll. Die Gewohnheitsrechte von Amalfi wurden im Jahre 1274 kompiliert und niedergeschrieben. (frontesp., ind…ice), 24 pagg. num.; "Ordini de Sindici nei Quattro Vicariati", 1 cc.nn. (frontesp.,) 12 pagg. num., 3 cc. nn. Stesso editore e anno di pubblicazione per tutte e tre le parti. Prima edizione, molto rara. Consta in fine di una interessantissima parte manoscritta "Additamenta Statuti", datata 1641, che riporta nuovi regolamenti per i quattro vicariati trentini, oltre a far riferimento a precedenti costituzioni editate nel 1609. I quattro Vicariati di Ala - Avio - Brentonico - Mori ebbero storicamente sempre una propria giurisdizione. Due ulteriori documenti sono presenti nel volume: una lettera molto interessante facente riferimento alla storica e grave controversia per il controllo dei quattro vicariati tra i conti di Castelbarco e il principe vescovo di Trento ed un foglio manoscritto ottocentesco in latino, in cui Ë redatto un elenco di 9 punti.I Castelbarco avevano avuto in possesso il territorio fino al 1411, dopo di che esso era passato alla Serenissima. Nel 1655 i Castelbarco dopo un processo durato pi? di cento anni, riacquistarono i diritti feudali sul territorio dei Vicariati con disdegno della popolazione che inviarono una supplica all'imperatore per rimanere sotto il governo dei principi Madruzzo. I Castelbarco giurarono di rispettare le antiche consuetudini e privilegi, ma poco dopo tempo pretesero gli antichi rapporti feudali con risvolti negativi, quali rivolte e disordini; l'episodio si concluse dopo mezzo secolo nel 1696 con una sentenza a favore dei Vicariati.La lettera riporta: "Gi? tempo corre, che mi si diceva cheÖ li sudditi dei quattro vicariati stanno per dare alle stampe una deduzione legale contro la pretenzione del Conte Francesco di CastelbarcoÖ" Firmata e datata Trento 6 Febbraio 1695. Al verso vi Ë un'indicazione in tedesco di registrazione ad un probabile archivio.Discreto esemplare. Tracce d'uso, sporco superficiale agli angoli inf., qualche sporadica macchia, restauri al marg. inf. di tre pagg, con aggiunta di carta.Fontana, I, p. 9 che indica una quarta parte, di 30 pp.nn.

Capilettera istoriati entro vignette silografiche. La seconda opera inizia con una raffigurazione allegorica in legno a piena pagina della Giustizia, che seduta in trono tra due leoni e con bilancia e spada nelle mani personifica la grandezza, la diligenza e la saggezza di Venezia nell'amministrazione pubblica; questa illustrazione viene ripetuta alla fine. La "Aggionta di nove leggi" presenta una vignetta silogr. con leone e la "Corretione." una vignetta similare anch'essa in legno. Legatura in pergamena molle coeva con titolo manoscritto al dorso e al piatto anteriore su etichetta cartacea applicata. L'opera si apre con un "index statutorum" e consiste di 6 libri: contiene statuti e leggi veneziane, con le correzioni di vari dogi veneziani tra i quali Loredan (c. 181 recto), Grimani (c. 181 verso), Gritti (c. 182 verso), Trevisan (c. 195 recto). Nota manoscritta all'interno del piatto posteriore. Le due placchette finali misurano mm 213 x 155. Esemplare in buone condizioni. Frontespizio con piccolo restauro al margine inferiore destro e macchia di umidit? al margine superiore, che prosegue per circa 50 pagine fino a scomparire.
