Collated, complete. Salomon August Andree was a Swedish engineer, aeronaut and polar explorer. He died while leading an attempt to reach the geographic North Pole by hydrogen balloon. The expedition was undertaken in 1897 and was a failure, all three members perished. The diaries and records of the expedition were discovered in 1930 on White Island, reported in this volume.
