Hardcover. Condition: Very Good. 1st Edition. Frontispiece, 21 leaves, 273, [43, Index], 353-489 pp. Contemporary vellum, with yapped outer edges. Title hand lettered in ink on spine. Small piece cut from upper blank corner of title page. Ink stamp of Prof. R. Kobert on front flyleaf. Two lines underlined in ink on one page. Very Good. First Edition. The works included are: Observationes medicae circa morborum acutorum historiam et curationem; Epistolae responsoriae duae. Sydenham's Observationes medicae, the first work in this volume, was originally published in 1676. It is Garrison-Morton 2198, 5075, and 5441.1. According to OCLC listings, some copies of the 1683 Opuscula have Sydenham's Tractatus de Podagra et Hydrope bound at the end. This copy does not. I do not know if the 1683 Opuscula is incomplete it does not have the Tractatus. Also, since I have not seen a copy of the 1683 Opuscula with the Tractatus bound at the end, I do not know what the title page imprint of the Tractatus is when it is bound at the end of the Opuscula. The Tractatus was first published in London in 1683, so its publisher was NOT the same as the publisher of the Opuscula. It is interesting that the two digitized copies I found online of the Opuscula do NOT contain the Tractatus de Podagra et Hydrope. They are identical to the copy offered here. OCLC locates copies in these US libraries: Chicago, Columbia, Harvard, Johns Hopkins, Minnesota, National Library of Medicine, New York Academy of Medicine, Northwestern, College of Physicians of Philadelphia, Princeton, University of Texas Medical Branch, Yale.…

Couverture rigide. Condition: Bon. 2 volumes petit in-4 (240 x 172 mm) ; T. I : (4), 711 pp. T.II : (4), 496 pages ; à la suite : MUSGRAVE, Guilhelmi : De arthridide anomala, sive interna. Dissertatio. De arthridide symptomatica. Dissertatio. (8), 168 + (8), 88 pages. (cf. Printing and the mind of man, 159, pour l'édition originale de ce traité). A short history of the gout, p. 5, 7, 8, 85, 146, 147).
