Shows the spine marginally toned, slight shelf rubbing of the extremities, front paste-down with former owner bookplate, otherwise the binding is strong and tight, the text is clean and unmarked, and the boards remain bright and distinct. As pictured.

James Laver was an English author and notable fashion historian; to supplement his pay at the V&A Museum he wrote for magazines, wrote reviews and verse. Of the three satirical narrative poems in this volume, A Stitch In Time made Laver popular in 1927, which he followed with a sequel in 1929, Love's Progress, published together as Ladies' Mistakes in 1933. 8vo.
