In parts:"Kjære Herr Theile Takk for Deres brev av 1. ds.Med hensyn til en spansk utgave av Kristin Lavransdatter sa har jeg hatt flere henvendelser derom, men da jeg ingen agent har i Syd-Amerika, har min forlegger her, Alfred A. Knopf Inc., 5ol Madison Avenue, overtatt a undersoke forholdene og fore forhandlingerne for mig. [.]" Translated:"Dear Mr. Theile Thank you for your letter of the 1st.With regard to a Spanish edition of Kristin Lavransdatter, I have had several inquiries about it, but as I have no agent in South America, my publisher here, Alfred A. Knopf Inc., 5ol Madison Avenue, has taken over investigating the circumstances and conducting the negotiations for me. [.]" * Her best-known work is `Kristin Lavransdatter`, a trilogy about life in Norway in the Middle Ages, portrayed through the experiences of a woman from birth until death.
