Hardcover. Condition: Fair. Hardcover. A surprisingly scarce title. No date, but the ownership signature on the free front endpaper is dated Christmas 1908. This charming collection of illustrated fairy tales, including Beauty and the Beast, Tom Thumb. Snow-White and Rose-Red, and Rapunzel among others, has fortunately or unfortunately been well used and read. The quite worn covers are present but detached and the spine is missing. Green cloth spine, cream pictorial boards, 104 numbered pages plus 8 unnumbered pages of ads. Charming illustration of Little Red Riding Hood by Agnes Richardson on front. Lightly bumped and rubbed on ends of spine, spine wrinkled but lettering and Tuck logo clearly visible, boards rubbed along edges, faint red "601" on front top corner, corners worn and bowed. Front darkened, smudged and surface-rubbed but illustration still vivid. Rear smudged, vertical strip of paper (3/4 x 1/4 inch) missing from lower corner near spine (green binding showing though underneath).
