Vintage studio still photograph from a 1979 re-release of the 1973 film, showing Warren Oates mid-holdup, with a nun looking on with judgment on the left. A dramatization of the crimes of folk hero, midwestern bank robber, and notorious mobster John Dillinger, best known for killing five FBI agents during a shootout in Kansas City. Hot on the heels of Arthur Penn's "Bonnie and Clyde" (1967), a film that reignited the US public's interest in 1930s gangster films. Set and shot on location throughout Arizona and Oklahoma. 10 x 8 inches. Very Good plus, lightly soiled on the bottom margin.

Estimating Script for the 1970 film, seen here under the working title "The Prison Story." Included is a vintage reference photograph from the film. The leader of a band of outlaws steals $500,000, but not before many in the gang are shot dead. Before he is arrested, he hides the loot in women's underwear and drops it into a pit, using the promised loot to bribe his fellow inmates into helping him escape from prison. Screenwriting duo David Newman and Robert Benton shared many of their first films together as cowriters, including "Bonnie and Clyde" (1967), "What's Up Doc" (1972), and "Superman" (1978). Set in Arizona, shot on location in California and New Mexico. Tan titled wrappers, noted as ESTIMATING SCRIPT on the front wrapper, rubber-stamped copy No. 166, dated July 23, 1968. Early Draft script for the 1974 film, file copy belonging to director Sam Peckinpah. Dated July 8, 1972, over a year before production commenced, and notably featuring the original ending with Bennie getting away-in true Peckinpah fashion, the director would later rewrite the ending to show Bennie dying in a shootout. With Peckinpah's brief annotations in manuscript ink on the title page and two leaves of the script. Warren Oates stars as Bennie, a bartender who travels through the Mexican underworld, accompanied by his sex worker girlfriend, to collect the bounty on the head of a gigolo. The only Peckinpah film not re-cut by the studio. Shot on location in Mexico. Yellow titled wrappers. Title page present, dated July 8, 1972, with credits for Peckinpah and screenwriter Gordon Dawson. 128 leaves, with last page of text numbered 126. Xerographic duplication, rectos only. Pages Near Fine, wrapper Very Good plus, bound with two gold brads. Ebert II. Nilsen, Warped and Faded. Rosenbaum 1000. Twilight Time 497.

Revised Estimating script for the 1969 Western film. Sam Peckinpah's classic revisionist Western of nearly inestimable importance (and violence), made at the peak of his career, and which-along with "Straw Dogs" (1971)-remains the lasting testament to his vision. A major contributor to the "end of the West" theme so prevalent of the genre in the 1970s, and one of the earliest New Hollywood Westerns. Set in Mexico, shot on location in Mexico and Spain. Beige titled Warner Brothers wrappers, dated November 15, 1967, noted as Rev. Estimating Script, and stamped copy No. 75. Title page present, dated 11/15/67, with credits for screenwriters Wallen Green and Sam Peckinpah, and story credit for Roy Sickner. 125 leaves, with last page of text numbered 123.
