Later half calf and marbled boards, scuffed and worn, joints weak but holding, a couple of old repairs to the edge of the title not affecting the text, foxed throughout but most marked at the ends. *See FREEMAN British Natural History Books, #4003 - a translation of Grundriss der Kräuterkunde, Berlin, 1792. Another edition was issued in 1811. Contains lengthy chapters on the HISTORY OF PLANTS and on the HISTORY OF THE SCIENCE.
