Add to basketOriginal vintage advertising poster for the Liberty Finmar Fair exhibition held at the department store in London from 9-25 October on the Fourth Floor featuring a great mid-century design by the notable graphic designer Zero (Hans Schleger; 1898-1976) of white and yellow brush strokes forming the shape of a tree on a black back…ground with small decorative stars and the bold title text below, the L for Liberty also made up of small stars. Organised by the importer of Nordic design, the annual Finmar Fair was a promotional event held at Liberty's in London during the 1960s showcasing modern Scandinavian furniture, textiles, glassware and other contemporary pieces, including those by the Finnish architect and designer Aalto (Hugo Alvar Henrik Aalto; 1898-1976). Good condition, restored paper loss in top right corner, restored tears, creasing, backed on linen. Size: 75x51cm. Zero (Hans Schleger) (illustrator).

The Highway Code was first published in 1931; the Ministry of Transport (1919-1941), reorganised and renamed during the 20th century, became the Department for Transport in 2002.
