Zt., vorderer Deckel mit goldenem Adler mit Wappen in gekrönter Kartusche Erste Ausgabe dieser Schrift über den Regierungsverzicht des letzten, kinderlosen Markgrafen Karl Alexander, der 1791 die Regierungsgeschäfte and den preussischen Minister Karl August von Hardenberg übegab und dann im Folgejahr auch förmlich abdankte. Der Pädagoge und Bibliothekar Gottlieb Ernst August Mehmel (1761-1840) kannte Hardenberg persönlich und war als Lehrer und Begleiter seines Sohnes Christian von Hardenberg-Reventlow zunächst nach Kopenhagen, dann an die Universität Erlangen gereist. Hier rechtfertigt er die Angliederung der Markgrafschaft an Preussen und gibt ab Seite 129 verschiedene Dokumente wieder, die belegen, dass es spätestens nach dem Tod von Markgraf Karl Alexander ohnehin dazu gekommen wäre. - Titel mit kleinem Besitzvermerk, Vorsatz mit privatem Stempel eines Historikers und Publizisten zu den Markgrafen, papierbedingt etwas gebräunt, angestaubt, hübscher Einband mit Ansbacher Wappen.
