Originally founded in 1929 by Stanley Marcus the club ceased operations in 1941. This re-establishment involved Marcus as Honorary President as well as seventeen other directors including David Farmer, John Graves, Bill Holman, Al Lowman, Larry McMurtry, Dorothy Sloan, W. Thomas Taylor, Bill Wittliff, and others. Set includes the finely printed announcement, single sheet folio, folded and printed recto verso, signed by W. Thomas Taylor on front. First four newsletters, Vol. 1 Nos. 1-4, containing meeting notes, letters, essays, articles, announcements, etc. All in fine condition.
