26,6 x 36,6 cm. Signiert "A. Hanzen". Auf festem Zeichenpapier, auf Unterlagekarton aufgelegt. Blattgroße Tuschpinselzeichnung. Das in Nahsicht gemalte Segelboot stösst mit dem Segel an die obere Blattkante. Das Sonnenlicht fällt auf das Segel und lässt es strahlen, indem der Künstler die Malgrund hier aufscheinen lässt. Die Silhouette der Insel im Hintergrund verschwimmt im flirrenden Licht. - Der schwedisch stämmige Maler und Graphiker A. Hanzen studierte bei seinem Großvater mütterlicherseits J. K. Aiwasoffsky und bildete sich dann in München, Berlin und Dresden unter C. Salzmann, H. Mayer und E. Bracht weiter. Ab 1904 nahm er mit Seestücken an Ausstellungen in Berlin und Paris teil. In seiner Schaffenszeit entstanden Seestücke und Landschaften aus allen Gegenden Europas. - Ganz minimale Gebrauchsspuren im Bereich der Blattkanten. Insgesamt sehr gut erhalten. Sprache: Deutsch.
