"The Art of the Organ Builder" - handsome three volume facsimile reprint edited by Christhard Mahrenholz from the 18th century editions: Book I - 1766; Book II & III - 1770; and Book IV - 1778. Part of the Documenta Musicologica series. Text is in French, each volume has a large section in the rear with wonderful black and white engravings, many are fold-out and large in size. Very clean set; all pages are crisp and clean, covers neat, bindings tights. All three spines show some spotting and fading. Lower spine on Volume Four slightly bumped. Each volume 8.5 x 11 inches. Volume One published 1963, Volume Two/Three published 1965, Volume Four from 1966.

Facsimile reprints, edited by Christhard Mahrenholz, of the eighteenth century editions: Book I - 1766; Book II & III - 1770; and Book IV - 1778. In overall very good used condition with only minor signs of age, handling and storage - cream boards slightly tanned to spine and edges and a couple of corners slightly bumped. Bindings tight and appear little read. Internally clean, no annotation or inscription - previous owners name and address label to front endpaper in each volume; text, musical charts and illustrations (many folding) bright and clear throughout. This set is both large and heavy (over 4kg packaged) and additional postage may be required if shipped outside the UK. Photographs available. Not old library books.
