Half title, frontispiece portrait of Caracci, title in red and black, (x), 74 pages and illustrated with 33 engraved pages of plates- 11 double page and 6 with two images to the page. All mounted on onglets by the binder. The text contains 24 sp…lendid engravings including 10 of cherubs frolicking and many decorative initials and a fine round tailpiece on the final leaf. These magnificent plates include many folding of the Gods and Goddesses romping in various states of undress. All on thick 18th laid paper. One slight crease and a small old waterstain the the left outer margin (see photos) but generally a good copy of this great gallery book- The love of the Gods in all their glory. An exact collation not found but near to the bibliography Berlin Cat (4087). The Farnese Gallery. The bookplate of Joseph Luce.
