A true FIRST EDITION, First Printing (impression) from 1901, this hardcover small octavo has rich green-brown cloth-covered boards stamped with a green decoration of wildlife amidst trees to front, with gilt border stamped around edges & gilt lettering to front & spine. Condition is VG+: exceptionally clean & bright, with some external fading & scattered spotting to lower edge of front board. Interior pages are creamy white with mild, even tanning, but completely unmarked save for an old grease pencil number & offsetting to front endpapers.
