Retrospective of the engravings and drawings of Russian-Soviet graphic artist and painter Dmitry Mitrokhin whose life and career stretched from Pre-Revolutionary times through the majority of the 20th century. 196 reproductions in color.

First edition, folio (30.5 x 23 cm); 8pp., chromolithographed throughout after Mitrokhin with three full page; original printed wrappers, slight soiling to lower of upper cover but otherwise a fine copy. Fresh example of this beautifully illustrated fairytale written originally by the German writer Hauff in 1826. Illustrations for this edition were created by Mitrokhin (1883 â" 1973), a pupil of Vasnetsov who achieved great fame as artist and book illustrator. Scarce.
