Hardcover. Condition: Good. From the seventh London edition. Sixteenmo (6.75" x 4.5"), black/brown cloth gilt and stamped in blind. 239pp plus 16pp publisher's ads. Good or better with some faded spots on the coversand a small hole near the top of the front joint. One page is missing the tip of a corner. Gresley (1801-1876), an Anglican divine and high churchman, was entrenched in the Trachtarian movvement of 1833. There is a manuscript poem in pencil on the rear endpapers praising God and Sunday evening. I cannot find this as a published poem or hymn lyric, nor can I say that it is not original.
